This building, which serves as both a theatre and a concert hall as well as being an overall ‘house of culture’ (as we like to call it) is often thought of as unusual. It certainly draws the attention of passers-by! Whether they like it or not is simply a question of personal taste.

But it must be noted that this building is the work of one of the most famous Hungarian architects - the world-renowned Imre Makovcz.

This architect, who is an advocate of organic architecture, selected only natural elements for his construction. For the structural details of the building he drew from various historical elements as well as local mythology.

The building covers an area of 1,400 square meters, and inside there is 2,400 square metres of usable space. The hall itself, with 444 seats, a large stage and professional equipment can host of any manner of theatrical, musical or dance event, as well as being perfect for conventions and seminars.
